Sven, the sheikh that allegedly made an offer to Ashley had some time ago, before Fenway, made a joint offer for Liverpool. Upon investigation Liverpool determined that the offer was not credible. I dare say that Ashley has looked at the offeree and determined the same thing.

I think Ashley is still waiting for proof of funds.

Thats just savvy marketing from Paddy Power. I would suspect that the betting for that didn't open until recently and they are probably paying out sod all.

We really should take the opportunity to make a cheeky low ball bid for either Hayden or Shelvey. 5M for the pair.

Ha ha ha Toon fans must be gutted. One minute talk of a take over and next they lose Rafa. You would think Chris Hughton could be a decent shout.

I had great joy informing a couple of barcodes of this news today. Their faces were a picture of sadness. Ho ho.

No. Obviously he's a good manager, but we already have a good manager too, and you'll never be successful as a club if you chop and change every season.

Debs, Hughton has more premier league experience now and if he were offered another premier league managers job I'd doubt he'd bite his nose off..........
